About Cherden's Doujin Shop
This shop sells doujinshi purchased from many small,
independent circles. We also sell doujinshi translations.
Please feel free to browse through our selection! Most of the books
we own are either brand new, excellent, or very good condition. Because we
buy from circles directly, we have a large variety of rare doujinshi!

information about our translations.

About Our Doujinshi Grading System
Brand New: A brand new book! Please
note that even brand new books may have printer's defects. We are
not responsible for these defects. Even though they are not common,
they do happen, and they are difficult to detect if a book is never taken
out of its bag.
Like New: May have been opened to see when it was published
or read once. Kept in great shape with no distinguishable marks.
Excellent: Only the most minor cover wear.
No deep scratches or marks, folds, or discoloration. Cover may have
tiny stubs on the corners or superficial scratches. A book that has
been read more than once.
Very Good: Minor cover wear, mostly due to
age. May have a small crease on the cover on thicker books where
opening the book to read it naturally creases the cover. There may
be a tiny ding on one corner. These dings are natural, even on brand
new books, because Japanese doujinka do not pad the envelopes when they
ship doujinshi, and the mailman just drops the books in a mail slot.
Cover may have superficial scratches. Binding may show signs of use,
but is not damaged.
Good: Binding may have superficial damage (in
case of glue binding improperly applied by the publisher or just due to
deterioration due to age). There may be a scratch or fold on the
cover, or a larger than normal ding on a corner. One or two pages
may have a tiny fold at the top or bottom corner. There may be a
small stain or discoloration on the cover or on one or two pages.
Fair: Honestly, I don't have many books in
this condition. If a book has spine damage that is extremely
noticeable (not a publisher's defect or normal wear), large stains or
discolorations, deep scratches or punctures on the cover or bent pages, I
will be sure to mention these imperfections. Books in this category
will most likely be very old and well read. Not for hard core
collectors, but still in nice shape for reading. No pages have
fallen out.
Poor: If a book is in poor condition, I
probably won't sell it. However, on the odd chance that a book looks
like "someone" took a bit out of the spine or if pages are coming loose
from the binding...then I will list the book as poor. -_-
About the "Staff"
CEO - Cherden's Doujin Shop is controlled
by Morris. He is our diabolical neko CEO. So if you see any fur
on your package, it's because Morris was inspecting things...again. He
also likes to attack boxes and envelopes. Rest assured that the little
kitty does not attack doujinshi...but he does like to play with empty
plastic baggies (it's the crinkle factor).
cherden - Mad web artist who likes to sell her
doujinshi collection to buy more doujinshi. One of our two
translators.
lynden - Another mad artist! Very much enjoys
selling her doujinshi collection to buy more doujinshi. Also does
translations! ^_^
mommy and daddy - They help us out with shipping and
invoicing (and everything else we need help for). ^_^ Very valuable
members of our little "team." Also supply food to the CEO.
Notice
We want to bring doujinshi to people all over the world, but
we will not support anyone who does illegal scans of doujinshi (scanning in
an entire doujinshi and distributing it on another forum). If we find
out that you are scanning in doujinshi and distributing it, be it for profit
or not, we will no longer sell to you. This includes our
translations. The translations are for your personal use only and may
not be redistributed on any forum. Making a scanslation from our
translations is strictly prohibited.
Hanko
Our translations are printed out on paper and each page has a hanko, or
signature seal. This seal is in color, not black and white. If
the seal appears in black and white, the translation is an illegal copy.
Our translations are never available in any digital
format, and NO website has our permission to post our translations.
