What is a doujinshi?
A doujinshi is a self
published book.
Doujinshi is the Japanese word for a derivative work drawn by an artist not
associated with the original creator.
The doujinshi are mostly fan comic books. There are many types, such as Illustration anthologies
and text-only novels.
-
What is a copy bon?
A copy bon is a doujinshi
that is printed on regular paper and bound either with a staple or other
creative fastener. Instead of going to a professional printer,
the artist assembled the book by his/herself. Copy bon are very rare
because the print runs are much smaller than for a professionally printed
doujinshi.
