Translations
Translation Commission Rates and Information
Translation rate
$45/hour
This rate is for the translation of a Japanese doujinshi
or manga into the English language. Excludes: novels, author's
comments (preface, atogaki, maegaki, etc),
advertisements for future work, and so forth. We only translate text relevant to
the comic story. The minimum charge is $45.00. We only
translate doujinshi comic books at this time.
How to Request a Translation Commission
(Read all of the rules below first.)
The title, artist/circle, and page count of the
book you would like translated.
ALL ESTIMATES MUST BE PAID IN FULL ACCORDING TO A
WRITTEN (digital) AGREEMENT or we won't translate a single word.
We work on translations on a first come, first served basis. "First
come" = "first to pay." Asking for a translation is not the same as
paying for one. If you don't like the system, don't make a
request. We will not reply to rude messages.
This service is not free and is done by arrangement only.
It is at our discretion whether or not we will translate a book that we are
not selling or do not already own. We will not translate books for
series with which we are unfamiliar. We will not reject
a book based on content (hentai, yaoi, etc). We may reject doujinshi with illegible handwriting or books where the artist
did not properly adjust the bleed area and sentences are cut off at the
edges.
Please be sure to email us: the title of the book (if you can read it),
the page count, genre, and artist/circle when you send your
request. The more information you can
send us, the more accurate the estimate will be. We may ask for
scans of books that we do not already own in order to make a proper
estimate.
If we accept your request, you will have to mail us the doujinshi you
would like translated if we do not already own it. You must pay the postage to ship the book to us.
You must pay for the translation upon receipt of your
invoice. We will not begin
translating your book until payment is received.
All buyers are bound to the terms and conditions stated on
our translated works. Our translations may not be redistributed in
any form on any forum for any price or any reason without our express
permission. This includes free web "scan(s)lations" sites.
Under no circumstance may anyone resell one of our translations.
We are the copyright holder for our translations and will seek damages
if infringement is discovered.

Purchasing Translations
If you own a book that we have already translated, you may
purchase the translation only. Please note that we only mail paper
copies of our translations. Do not request an electronic file.
Our translations are not for resale without our express permission.
